Dr. Orlaski, talked about this on his webinar yesterday. He said if you are low risk it would be good to hold our chemo for awhile to let our immunity build up from the vaccine. But if your high risk, and not really able to take a break from chemo, go ahead and get the vaccines. Some immunity is better than none. Anyway, he is amazingđź’ś
Donna, I trust my oncologist’s opinion without question. She told me I should get it. As soon as it’s available I will get it.
My husband, a physician, had his doubts too but since my oncologist recommended it to both of us, he will get it too.
We have to wait until phase 2 which is after all healthcare workers and nursing home patients’ have been vaccinated.
My husband and I will be first in line.
Donna, have you read about the variant? That’s all we need to worry about!
Gail
My oncologist said I should get it. I had a sct 5 years ago and still in remission
I take ninlaro for maintenance
UCLA has started scheduling MM senior patients. Got my first Moderna shot a week ago. I'm fine! Dr. said that if I tolerate flu shots or pneumonia shots I'll be fine. The vaccine is not a live virus, so nothing to worry about there.
My oncologist said I should get the vaccine. For some reason, and I have no idea why, I am a little hesitant. However, without getting the vaccine we would have to wait for “herd”
Immunity. That basically means that more people than not is immune. I think that is a unrealistic. I think I am going to get the vaccine.
Luv,
Gail❣️
