My doctors took me off Revlimid on 11/10/20 after my fourth cycle and just have me on a weekly Velcade shot. My stem cell harvesting is in the second week of January. I was told the Revlimid interferes with your stem cells. I am concerned because my numbers are creeping up on the Velcade alone. Is this common practice for doctors? Has anyone else experienced this?
Wendy, I was on Revlimid, velcade & Dex and was taken off Revlimid last week of May 2019. Collection of stem cells June 25th. Melphalen, then transplant July 3rd. I too was very worried about him taking me off Revlimid but he said everything would be ok. And it worked out ok.. My transplant went well.
Have faith, stay positive. Ask questions and ask questions. Prayers your way. Stay strong. 🙏💕
I was on Revlimid but was taken off them totally because of heart issues. They started giving me Velcade for awhile. Since I have been on maintenance therapy I take Daratumumab and Dexamethasone they are working well.
Off for three weeks after my sixth round of revlimid before stem cell.
When I had my Stem Cell transplant I was in remission and off all medication.
I had the same issue with the Velcade. I no longer take the Velcade shots just the Dara and dexamethasone.
