My side effects were insomnia and high glucose taking ten 4mg. When I appealed to the doctor he consulted with the pharmacist and they split the dosages between two days. These days I am back to ten 4mg as I hardly noticed any difference with the split dosage.

Dexamethasone is very effective against MM. However if one is reacting negatively maybe the doctor can advice on Solimedrol ? Another Steriod.

Wendy’s, The dose of Dexamethasone varies a lot per patient and MM medication. I would talk to your doctor and tell him how you are feeling and if the dosage could be reduced or adjusted. Love, Marcia 🌸

I took five 4 mg. pills every Monday for a little over a year. A couple of months ago, they reduced it to three 4 mg. pills every Monday. At either of those dosages, I had absolutely no side effects. In the not too distant future, they’ll eliminate the dex entirely, based on several studies that found that the results for Revlimid, with or without the dex, were essentially the same.

We are all a little different....back then, I took 5, 4mg dex, twice a week.... the day of my shot and two dats later
