What Can I Do Naturally To Prevent Or Help.
Hi Mildred,
There are many natural things that can help. There is a great book I’ve read by Dr Dominic Brandy who is an MD that was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, Beat Back Cancer Naturally. He gives details about how diet, exercise, sleep, stress reduction and targeted supplements can help fight cancer.
I’ve read much about how eating plant based has helped multiple myeloma patients stay in remission longer. There are clinical trials being conducted at Sloan Memorial Kettering by Dr. Urvi Shah that you can look up on YouTube. Very helpful!
Personally, I’ve tried including lots more plants (veggies, fruits, whole grains, nuts and seeds in what I eat, as well as taking some of the recommended supplements by Dr. Brandy. My blood work has always been good. I’m now in complete response; I think that has helped. Of course, we are all different so no one can tell another what will definitely work for them.
Also please check out @A MyMyelomaTeam Member’s story and posts. He’s done a boatload of helpful research too.
Wish you the best on this tough journey. You’re not alone in this fight!
Andrea
Thank goodness myeloma rarely affects the brain. Your peace of mind, is another story entirely. Relax. Enjoy what you have, this day. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow who knows. That's the short answer. Relax, smell the flowers and listen to the beautiful music. Remember the good times you so enjoyed. Relive them. Always.
Great News! Take one day at a time.
