I recently posted the FDA approval of CarT for earlier relapse cases since the results are promising and safety has drastically improved through optimization and experiences within the multiple myeloma cancer treatment centers and Research and Development community.

CAR T-cell therapy is a type of immunotherapy that enables the body’s own immune system to better fight cancer. A form of CAR T-cell therapy called Abecma (idecabtagene vicleucel) has been approved to treat myeloma. During CAR T-cell therapy, doctors remove a person’s T cells (a type of white blood cell). The T cells are genetically engineered in a lab — they are “trained” to recognize a protein called BCMA that is found on the surface of myeloma cells. Once the T cells are ready, they are returned to the person with myeloma, where they begin attacking cancerous plasma cells.

Does it require chemo before the Chart therapy?

From what my oncologist has said Car T Therapy is easier than SCT and no maintenance afterwards.
