Apparently when our Syracuse doctor sent a report to our Florida oncologist, he said that my husband has IgA Myeloma. We had never heard it classified this way before, and our Florida oncologist also said that none of his tests showed that. Wondering if anyone here has IgA Myeloma and if so, what test was done to determine that?

How do you know if you have lamdha light chain disease or kappa light chain Myeloma? Are there two kinds of Myeloma within MM?

At 6 weeks of induction my IgG, and IgM (immune levels) were still normal and my very high IgA had returned to normal. As they continued to with induction, for 12 weeks total, my Ig levels all went to very low. Asking about it, I was told the MM Meds were hard at work, attacking what was left of my immune system.

I am three years in remission and I just got blood work done but my Kappa light chains were elevated but my Lambda light chains were normal. Can anybody advise me on why this could happen. They are normally both in range but my Kappa is really elevated. I am trying to have faith but my protein electrophoresis is not back yet which shows whether there is any monoclonal proteins in my blood or not.. asking for advice and prayers. What are your typical IgG levels before and after?

How long before you need another and what’s your IgG when it’s time for another?

Has anyone found ways to boost their IgG levels without an IgIV infusion?

Any comments about the effectiveness of the IgIV?

Any complications from getting the IgIV?

I just had some labs done and my IgG is 2898 mg/dl which is high, and my IgA and IgM are low. The IgG is up from 2725 in May. My IgA is pretty low and my IgM is a little low. Can anyone tell me the significance of the 2898 mg/dl reading?
