@A MyMyelomaTeam Member has done a lot of research and has used his own body as a guinea pig. What he is doing is working! Miraclulous results actually. He's the one who recommeded Dr Brandy to me and others.

Peter,
70 can be a cut-off, but if you are in good health, then 70 means nothing. Now doctors are saying therapies are just as good or better than SCT which is hard to go through, but it depends on your type of MM. I just bought Dr Brandy's book "Beat Back Cancer". He has IgA Kappa like I do which is more agressive.

Generally it is based on your overall health. All the best

Stem cell transplantation for multiple myeloma is not explicitly contraindicated by age alone, but the overall health and presence of other serious health problems are significant considerations. Older individuals or those with other severe health conditions might not be ideal candidates for this treatment due to the potential for severe side effects and the demanding nature of the recovery process. The decision to proceed with stem cell transplantation is typically based on a comprehensive assessment of the patient's overall health, disease stage, and specific individual risk factors.
