I alternate Ice pack with heating pad. I take Tylenol 500 mg
instead of Oxycodone. Works for my back pain and/or neck pain.

I have heard about Tylenol use and kidney/liver damage. I have had this conversation with my dr. I am trying to keep use of oxycodone to a minimum.
I have been to a pain mgmt dr,
and was able to get injections in the worst of my pain, lumbar sacral area (stopped sacroiliac too). It is a temp treatment, and might last 6 months. So far, so good.

You have to be careful with Tylenol and your liver and kidneys. I would talk to your doctor. Any new bone pain is concerning. I asked my doctor what she will do when I start having terrible pain. She said she would refer me to a Pain Management Specialist.
