My husband was diagnosed in January and began a triple drug treatment of Dexamethosone, Revlimid and Isatuximab infusion in February. We are at the end of cycle 3, but his M protein decrease is slowing. Oncologist team has suggested adding weekly valcade shot to his treatment plan to get his number down to the threshold that they'd like for him to have a Stem Cell Transplant. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Thank you Paula! Bobs Red Mill nutritional yeast is a staple in our pantry and is headquartered minutes from our house! Great suggestions appreciate it!
Dana,
Alpha Lipoic acid was recommended by my Oncologist for neuropathy. My mom took lots of Nutritional Yeast (B vitamins)(Bob’s Red Mill) and never got neuropathy after 30 chemo treatments for ovarian cancer. I hope this helps.

Thank you! 🙏 Appreciate the information- I fear the neuropathy as he’s already dealing with muscle myopathy seemingly caused by the Dex. His team is also cutting back his dosage on that. He’s been accepted to SCT, but they need his levels to drop a bit.
Dana, velcade is often one of the drugs used in the induction stage. It worked well for my husband. It can cause neuropathy so ensure your husband tells his healthcare team if he has any signs.
