Chuck, I understand not taking the allergy medicine. If I have to take one it’s the Zyrtec children’s liquid dose because of sensitivity. However, I buy local honey and have it in my tea every day and believe it or not that cuts down on allergies from the great outdoors.
Chuck8. I would suggest you try the NeilMed Sinus Rinse. It is only salt and does a good job of cleaning out the nasal passages without meds. So you can do it as many times as you need to daily. Then you wouldn't have to go through what you are doing now.
I've been taking Claritin forever and when I was diagnosed with MM, one of my first additional prescriptions was monteluka (Singular). Then when I started having the seasonal cold/allergy symptoms the nurse told me I could take Mucinex - the plain one in addition to my regular meds. Most recently my dr told when I had an upper respiratory viral infection I could take Mucinex DM. And I learned before my SCT that Claritin actually reduces bone pain - and it was part of my instructions to take as they prepared me to collect stem cells.
I take Claritin and nasal spray (XClear) got for my allergies. It took me four weeks to clear nasal congestion but the spray helped to clear the congestion.
I find acupuncture works for several issues I have. It is natural and has been around for thousands of years I go at least once a month and more often if necessary.
