Hello DGBurk,
Stay hydrated, it helps you relieve fatigue. I used to feel very tired but I start drinking a lot of water usually about 2.5 liters and walk 30 minutes helped me a lot. Now I feel less fatigue and have a better mood.

Managing fatigue effectively while undergoing treatment with Ninlaro (ixazomib) and dexamethasone for multiple myeloma involves several strategies:

1. **Regular Light Exercise**: Engaging in low- to moderate-intensity exercise, such as walking or light aerobic activities, can help reduce fatigue. It's important to balance activity with rest.

2. **Proper Nutrition**: Ensuring you consume enough calories to support your energy levels is crucial. Working with a dietitian to create a meal plan can be beneficial.

3. **Good Sleep Hygiene**: Establishing a routine that promotes quality sleep is essential. This might include avoiding caffeine late in the day, setting a regular bedtime, and creating a comfortable sleep environment.

4. **Medication Timing**: Discuss with your doctor the possibility of adjusting the timing of your medications. Taking certain medications at night, for example, might help mitigate daytime drowsiness.

5. **Managing Side Effects**: Since dexamethasone can cause sleep disturbances, it's important to address this with your healthcare provider. They might adjust your dosage or suggest other ways to manage this side effect.

Implementing these strategies can help manage and potentially reduce fatigue associated with your treatment. Always consult with your healthcare team before making any changes to your treatment or lifestyle to ensure they are safe and appropriate for your specific health needs.

Hey Donnie, exercise is supposed to help treatment related fatigue. I would ask about the lowest dose of dexamethasone you can get away with. Maybe ask about a mild sleep aide when you have to take your dex. I hope you get a complete response to this treatment. 🙏💕🥰
