Paula I am going on 22years since being diagnosed and the average lifespan was 5years so like Cheryl said don’t believe all the statistics because everyone is different.

@A MyMyelomaTeam Member Yes ma'am, lots of great resources out there as you listed. I also listed those in a previous post of mine. I just received this in my MMRF email today and thought I'd share. Plus I've been following MM and doing tons of research and reading since my brother was diagnosed in 2001. But I certainly don't want to overwhelm anyone, I just found it useful. 🕊️🫶

There are many strategies to optimize multiple myeloma outcomes. This video offers several ideas for patients to consider. Some other successful strategies are to journal symptoms and experiences to discuss with your healthcare team, follow your labs via cancer treatment center applications, and education at MyMyelomaTeam, Healthtree and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. There are webinars available on Healthtree and MMRF. Healthtree offers Healthtree University videos too. However, one can be overwhelmed with information, similar to drinking from a firehose full blast. Be patient and learn as best as you can.
