It is one of the most confusing things about having this disease. They put on my chart that I was stage 3b at diagnosis. Meaning the worse stage and I had kidney failure. My kidneys are fine and I'm still here 6 and a half years later. I don't know how many people are told that they are stage 4. The staging doesn't even go to stage 4 for myeloma. What's important is how he responds to treatment. 💗

Hey Ed, I had Parainfluenza pneumonia in January 2017 when I was diagnosed with myeloma. I went through the roller coaster with Revlimid too. Then I got pneumonia again in March. So they took me off RVD and started something else. Anyway. Hang in there. I'm still here. They will tweak your dosage until they find the right one. How are your white cells?

Ed you are not alone in getting the
Parainfluenza 3. I got it at Christmas and it took a month to get better. I thought it was just as bad as COVID. I got COVID for the 3 time in April. Drs will make you wait til your blood work is normal because the Revlemid lowers your immunity cells. I hope you feel better soon and stay positive & strong!🙏🏻

That makes me feel a little better. People here talk about stages and my husband sometimes worries over 'what stage', 'am I worse than I think'. Another thing that maybe doctors could tell you,. to take away a bit of the worry?!?
