Good luck to you. I’m very happy to hear about your remission. We keep our hopes up!
My husband came home from the hospital on day eight and was readmitted on day 10 because of a fever. He just came home again on day 19. They believe he had some kind of bacteria but it is so minute that they are not sure and they sent him home on anabiotic‘s. It could be a lab mistake. When he was discharged today he was told he wouldn’t drive for three months it was a shock to us. The information that we received originally said 30 days. If he has not had any seizure and is not any meds for a seizure I really don’t understand why. I wish my husband was only dealing with myeloma. Even if this works he has so much pain because of arthritis that was caused by chemo meds.Honestly I don’t think this is ever going to end.
I just went through Car T Therapy in March I am presently in remission. I had a fever and was given antibiotics. I contracted C diff from use of intravenous use of antibiotics. I also got after release facial palsy which cleared up after several weeks. I live in New York State and participated a Clinical Trial at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester NY.
My first week in the hospital after Car T Therapy was good no side effects. My second week I had 2 todays of fever which triggered me getting intravenous antibiotics. I was released after my second week from hospital. I would say about 4 days after my release I got partial face palsy which lasted about 2 weeks. I also got Cdiff due to the antibiotics I got at the hospital which also went away after I took oral antibiotics. I am presently in remission due to my Car T Therapy no lasting after effects
sorry eddie, i just saw your other answers on how long you were in the hospital. But I am curious about any issues in the first 2 weeks after transfusion.
