A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Is there a backup treatment if revlimid rash (which is bad) can’t be controlled. Any ideas how to best dean with revlimid rash?

They lowered the dose for a couple of months. Seemed to help a little.

I assume you are using Claritin, or another antihistamine and a topical steriod cream. The doctor can also give you prednisone to help. Hoping it doesn't get worse. Yes, there are alternative drugs to take. 💗

DR sorry your rash is so bad. My husband was on dex ninlaro and revlimid. Rash was awful and itching. They think it was related to ninlaro but may have been revlimid. They left him on revlimid only.

My friend could not take Revlimid because of a nasty reaction. She has been on Darzalex the whole time (Daratumabab) and has been in remission for 10 years.

When my rash got really bad, we stopped Revlimid for three days and took Dex on those three days- 2,2,1. (4mg ea). The Dex calmed the rash down so I could pick the Revlimid again and continue with treatment.
