Special Diets
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm wondering if anyone has changed
their eating habits due to their condition. I keep reading it's best to go on a plant based diet. Does anyone follow - https://squareone.chrisbeatcancer.com/video-red... or the Gerson Therapy and it's juicing recommendations and use of turmeric, beets, carrots (among others) for their healing qualities?

I have also changed my eating habits and I am trying a diet with more Veggies and less meat. I don't know if is helping my condition, but I feel better.

I'm wondering how important is diet? When I was first diagnosed I read a lot about diet. But when I asked my Dr he said eat what ever you want.... I'm wondering if any one has any other thoughts on this. Has your Dr talk to you about diet. I read alkaline diets are good. Because I'm still on no treatment and would like to stay that way. Has Anyone Had A Reaction Or Side Effects From Zometa?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was given Zometa for the first time but the drip rate was 8 minutes. Upon reading about zometa, the minimum time states 15 minutes. Anyway, the next morning I could not breath it felt like I had a collapsed lung and I hurt all over. I went to the ED and they assured me I was getting air, they took a CAT scan and xrays of my lungs with nothing to show. The ED Dr called the infusion center and he was told that sometimes people do have a reaction to the first time zometa treatment. He was… read more
