If you are using your own stem cells (auto), it is safer than chemo. Of course you can refuse any treatment.

I was harvested 1 day to get enough stem cells for 2 transplants.
So I have some questions on stem cell transplants. Do they do the harvest even if you don't need one yet just to have or do they wait till you need one and then do the harvest?
