Our labs will fluctuate from week to week. Even day to day. Since our light chains are free light chains. Which means they are just floating around in our blood, they will certainly fluctuate according to how much we drink etc. Everyone should figure out what type of myeloma they have. I don't worry if my kappa numbers go up since my myeloma is Lambda. I know the kappa is probably my Darzalex. Most of us will run lower white cell and neutrophils while on treatment. I do try to eat green leafy vegetables. I think that helps my red cells. I think you all are doing fantastic. Sexii, you platelets are great, make sure you eat some good protein to get your albumin up. 💗
Sorry, I somehow didn't see your entire post. Yes, discuss this with your oncologist. BUT, again, do NOT stress out or worry, that will only take your joy from the many positive factors in your life. Perhaps, write down the things that you find to be pleasurable and add to your list, from time to time. The beauty of the clouds, stars, trees, plants birds, pictures you have saved, special memories and people who are and have been in your life, et. al. You also have many friends on this site, too! 😀
@A MyMyelomaTeam Member, hello there sex, I too had questions about being in remission, then why is this, that or the other??? The one thing I can tell you for sure is being stressed is not going to help, and could make your numbers worst. Take a deep breath and think about it is, what it is and you’ll deal with it ! Calm mind, calm body. Hoping for the best🙏🏽❤️
Hi, not sure what your doctor view as remission. But my hubby is on Revlimid 2.5 mg. and Velcade, 2 yrs). His numbers fluctuates, but there is a graph the doctor print out for me. Which balances out and give a bigger picture. Must include several components. Such as total protein, MM residuals (if any), lgG, kappa light chains, ambda light chains, lambda/kappa light chains, rbc, wbc, etc. This week his bloodwork was the best since being on maintenance. I was really pleased. You get tired of seeing those red L and H’s.
My oncologist mention to me these numbers typically do fluctuate up and down in a saw tooth pattern from week to week. More importantly is to look at the overall trend in results over time- are they trending up or staying about the same? If staying about the same - that’s good news.
