Hey Debbie, MGUS is a precursor to myeloma. It isn't usually considered cancer. Myeloma is a cancer of the plasma cells. Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system. There are several different types. They are both considered blood cancers, but have different presentations and treatments. You can have both Lymphoma and myeloma at the same time. But not usually. It's odd that some myeloma responds to Lymphoma treatment. Ventoclax is used for Chronic Lymphocytic leukemia but it works on myeloma with 11:14 translocation.

Yes, you can have both. That is why the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society supports Myeloma patients. You should talk to your doctor, because looking at my markers it looks like I have Leukemia but I don’t have the other specific markers to have it, instead I have SMM.

Thank you. I had an ultra sound on both sides of my neck. Left side has two fatty lymph nodes and the right side has two with one having a core in it. Am having CT Scan next Friday.
