My Oncologist wants me to see my Cardiologist to see if I need the surgery to clear the plack. I am afraid of having a stroke from the surgery.

I’m really struggling with taking 20 mg of Dexamethasone weekly. It’s 50 degrees here and I’m sweating like I’m in the Caribbean…. Can anyone explain why we need to take all the dex in one day? I wish we could take 1 a day for 5 days…. Thanks in advance for any suggestions…. I have no idea if this will be my maintenance therapy for the rest of my life but it’s not a great maintenance plan for me…
It’s been so long since I’ve taken Dexamethasone I can’t remember how it affected me the only thing I do remember is that it gave me insomnia the night after I took it.
Yes! Most get infection during Scot recovery, my doc told me 10 % die. Don't know if its true but several ended up in icy I do know

My white blood cell count has been low and I've received an IVIG infusion and also a couple of shots to boost the numbers. The number continues to be low so now they are taking me off Lenalidomide (Revlimid) for a month to see what happens with the count. This is during my maintenance after receiving an autologous bone marrow transplant.
