Eat right, exercise and get plenty of good sleep. You will spend a lot of time in bed before during and after the procedure. Have some audio books and ebooks to keep your mind active during the time in the hospital. Invite Jesus to be with you. A prayer for you.

When you’re in the hospital they monitor your intake Make sure you have fluids you like and food that you enjoy. I did not have an appetite and nothing appealed to me. I also wish I’d brought depends with me as diarrhea was a real problem. Good luck and know you will come out of this better off then when you started. ❤️

I asked the same question prior to STC. I was advised to perform normal activities and try to increase walking, swimming and stretching. After STC, you are in bed so you want to go in as strong as possible.

Good luck.

Walk to build up your strength and eat really well.
I didn't move around a lot before my SCT the results was that after my transplant I wasn't even able to do the required walking in the hospital. I was so weak I ended up having to stay in the hospital an additional two weeks longer than expected. Also, eat well, lots of good protein (even if it is from shakes) to help build yourself up.

Good luck on this new journey. I am sure you will do well!

Walk everday and eat your favorite foods and desserts. My husband lost his appetite after the transplant. For a week he drank Ensure and sent his food back.
