We all agree with that, definitely a conern for all, and we are retired, always worry that meds may not be covered I agree!!!
When he was diagnosed, he was still working, and insurance did cover well. In 2019 he went on Medicare and supplemental insurance. We have been doing Ok with that too. unfortunately, we travel over 200 miles to see oncology. So that's the hard part.
We have an AFLAC cancer policy that helps with lodging, gas and some treatment costs.
I am on MediCaid ("MediCal" in California where I live) because I am also disabled. But, man, it's really hard to find an oncologist, much less a myeloma specialist, who accepts it. Right now I'm just doing Telehealth with a regular oncologist, as I live two plus hours away from the city. I do wish more doctors accepted MediCaid. Grateful that it pays fully for Revlimid. So far. Three years last March. Have no money to spare, being on Disability is livin' skinny. But at least it's living.
My biggest concern is with the prescriptions. I always fear the prices will increase unexpectedly.
