I was going through my FISH results and notes that I have 1P32 deletion. A search this turned up mostly unfavorable outlooks to my progression but I admit I do not fully understand it all. Anyone else have this that had any info or experience with it? Thank you all
Cygnus, I had to look this up, because it is not an abnormality that I hear about a lot. It does say that it occurs in younger patients, which you are. It does indicate that you might have a less favorable outcome. I must say I went through this when I was diagnosed with P53/17p deletion. Thought I had 18 monthsπ₯.I still hear that 17p deletion people don't do well.
But Dr. Lonial at Emory says that higher risk patients become standard risk patients after a couple of years of aggressive treatment and maintenance.
You can Google him.
You do need a good myeloma Specialist, but with the right treatment l think you will be able to live a normal life expectancy.
That is if the world situation doesn't keep getting crazier πͺπππππ
Thanks Colleen. I sent her a card today. I hope she is able to read some posts evenπ

Donna, I have not seen any posts from Marcia lately and I understand you are filling in for her. Is she okay? I'm praying she is doing better.
