I have massage therapy on my back weekly. It does help my back pain that comes with Having myeloma. My situation is that my medical insurance does not cover massage therapy. Does anyone one have any suggestions that might help out.

Sue, I read that the elevated protein levels crowd out normal blood cells in the bone marrow. The bone structure and the component of bone is changed due sometimes to growth of tumors. The disease process cause the spinal bones to compress ( also called pinched nurse) and press on nerves which results in pain. I currently have lower back pain and cervical spine pain due to the compression of the nerve. I was referred to a neurosurgeon who ordered a MRI and if needed we will proceed with surgery to correct the problem. If your husband has chronic nerve pain he should see a neurologist to determine what is wrong… and if it needs medical intervention like medications, therapy and/or surgery to ease or correct. Pain sends a message: something is wrong here! Don’t ignore…
