I broke some ribs once from a fall and the last time from coughing. My last CT scan indicted I have a couple that didn't heal. Those are still painful.
I take dex as part of my treatment which elevates my blood sugar to levels above 300. This in turn lowers my blood pressure significantly . This caused me to have a couple of falls. I watch my blood sugar closely and take insulin to keep my numbers as low as possible. Management has at least made this side effect more tolerable.

I think,I’m,doing well. Just got done my first cycle of RVD and on my off week. I see the doctor on Tuesday and start all over. I’ve had a few side effects but none I can’t handle. The weirdest one is some kind of internal tremor. Doc thinks it’s from the dex, I take 40mg once a week, but we will discuss it on Tuesday. It actually wakes me up at night. Strange. I’m willing to deal with it to get to remission, just would prefer it doesn’t become a forever side effect. Peeked at my most recent blood work and it looks like numbers are coming down. Original kappa lambda ratio was 154, it’s now 33!

JayneKing, I am so happy my ribs are healing quickly. It hurt like Hell and I couldn’t breathe. It hurt so much I would cough and hyperventilate, that is such a scary feeling! Anyway, I feel better now! Thank-you!
