Talk to your pharmacist and they will give you a suggestion. There is an over the counter drug I used when I was constipated call Senakot x. It is all natural .
Eat high fiber food too.

I take a stool softener every time I take my pain meds and it works really good but if I do get constipated I take Restoralax which was recommended by my Dr. and it straightens it out in a day or two plus it’s over the counter. You have too be careful what you eat because some foods will constipated more than others.

Hi Wendell, the doctor is probably going to recommend iron supplements, go ahead and get a head start. They can cause constipation so drink plenty fluids.
