Hi everyone
I went for my 3rd consultation yesterday and much like my 2nd consult stated, they feel this may be amyloidosis due to proteinuria. He explained that amyloidosis it is like the cousin to myeloma and suggested we do a fat pad biopsy (did it right there and then in the office) and should receive the results early next week. My bone marrow biopsy did not reflect amyloid but he further stated that this is common because amyloid likes to hide and is difficult to find. He also indicated⦠read more
Jennie, It was good to get 3 opinions, Amyloidosis is rare and often occurs with Multiple Myeloma. There are a few members on here that have Amyloidosis. I am happy to hear they got down to the bottom of it. Two different doctors both recommended I do tests to rule out. I recently received my kidney biopsy results and they have ruled out Amyloidosis. I hope your husband feels better soon π
