Willodean, The platelets are really low, the doctor might want to give him a unit or 2 of Platelets. If the WBC is actually a 3, it is okay. They don’t usually start giving Nuprigen until they are low 2’s or even 1’s. However, Please have them do frequent blood exams to watch his Hgb, Hct, and platelets. He is very vulnerable for falls and getting infections. Do not be around other people right now. Please be careful. Call your doctor if he is dizzy or just off. Stay Safe! Love, Marcia 🌸

My white blood count cruises around 3.1 and has for a long time. I am in remission and they don't blink an eye about that level. However your platelets are worrisome. Talk it over with your doctor. Indeed it may be appropriate to receive an infusion of platelets, especially these days. Also discuss the B12 with your doc.

Your Oncologist can give you a Proctit shot to raise your red cell count. Must have good insurance it is very expensive. I'm not sure why your Oncologist didn't give you one. Mine averages about 10 but I can only qulify when it drops down to 9 then my insurance will pay for it. I have not had a Proctit shot in year's, although I'm 21 yrs. Post SCT and I know they have made a lot of progress since I had mine.

They might need to tweak his Revlimid dosage to let his platelets recover. I would ask the doctor 💖
