Am I Considered Immuno-compromised If I Have Smoldering Multiple Myeloma?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am getting ready to go on a cruise to a tropical country. It is recommended that travelers get vaccines for Hep.A, typhoid, and medication for malaria. Is that going to be a problem for me? Any recommendations for precautions?

Ask you doctor this question. It has to do with your white counts and your IGs. Always ask your doc.

Where are you going? You shouldn't need any of that unless you are going to Africa. The Carribean is fine. I have taken plenty of cruises, just be more aware of germs on the cruise banisters and eating areas. Take some antibacterial spray and enjoy!

I would say the inner whatever you call it. Going to Ketchekan and up that way. We went outer and it was alright but I think we would have enjoyed the other better.
