Has Anyone Else Had A Feeling Of Tightness Around The Ribcage?
A MyMyelomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Sometimes when I wake up, especially lately, the lower part of my ribs feels so tight, it is like someone tied a belt around my ribs and pulled it as tight as they could. It would s extremely uncomfortable and I have not found a way to relieve it, nor do I know what is causing it. Has anyone else had a similar problem, and if so, what did you do about it?

I have dull ache in my right rib, they have checked multiple times by CT and X-ray, no lesions but I do have a pulmonary embolism in right lung
With meds, pain is reduced

I have lesions on my ribs and I couldn’t get up out of bed, rollover or get up out of a chair without help. But after about two weeks of treatments my rib pain subsided and now I can do all of those things relative pain free. I still have the lesions but they don’t hurt near as much anymore. I had a bone scan and bone biopsy to figure it out. Hopefully your hubby starts feeling better soon. 🙏🏻❤️

Could be a fractured rib or lesions on the rib. Have you had a CT or a Bone Scan? My husband turned over in bed and fractured a rib. Took six weeks before the pain was gone. It was confirmed on a Bone Scan.

My first symptoms were pain in my ribs. It got to the point where my husband had to help me up out of bed or a chair. That’s when my dr sent me to have scans and blood tests done. I had lesions on my rib cage from mm. I’ve been on treatment for 8 weeks and the pain has subsided where I don’t need help getting up/down anymore. I would definitely discuss your pain with your dr.
