I get that every night, what can I do to prevent it? I have multiple myeloma and I also have a back condition called spondylolisthesis which is bone slipping on bone in my lower back that is pinching nerves causing chronic pain 24/7. This is driving me crazy. Any information will be helpful. Thank You & God Bless You!
Yes, I do. The doctor put me on Magnesium and for the muscle cramps I take Baclophen (Muscle Relaxer) at night about 1 hour before bed. I also have found that when I am dehydrated I get more cramps. I also get Restless Leg Syndrome and I take Requip (ROBINrole) It helps a lot! Hope this helps! Love, Marcia
You can try pickle juice as soon as the cramps start.l find pink salt under my tongue can help.
Yes your potassium is probably very low which is dangerous. Call your doctor have it checked
If you sweat a lot at night, like much of us do, it might be your potassium level. Ask your doctor if your potassium level is low.
My cramps would usually start in my feet, shins, then legs and progress to my groin area (between leg and trunk), ribs and finally, the upper body. I think sometimes the spasms were going to stop my heart! , they hurt so bad! Pain Management couldn't help! I'd desperately tried 2 different muscle relaxers, Oxycodone, Tequila, MANY bottles of Ben Gay/Aspercreme "Heat" and even a hot tub for severe muscle camps. The Jacuzzi would give me temp relief, but only for a couple of hours. Then my pharmacist recommended grape seed extract (literally a clear capsule of crushed grape seed). It took about 20 days to really "take effect", but its the only thing that works for me. Again, we all react differently to vitamins/drugs, but was my miracle cure!
